Rowing Olympian and Paralympian offered their strong support to Tokyo 2020


Daisaku Takeda, men's lightweight double sculls, said:
"The London Games will be my 5th Olympic Games. The Olympics are the ultimate and largest stage to perform for rowers. It will be great if I can receive a medal and represent both Japan and Tokyo on the world stage, and by extension contribute to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Bid!"

Mari Otake, Rowing Paralympian in women's single sculls, added:
"I hope to contribute in Tokyo's bid to host the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games by making a lasting impression at London, UK, the Mecca of Rowing and birthplace of Paralympics."
