The International Sports Press Association (AIPS) celebrated Olympic journalism at a special ceremony at the Tokyo 2020 JAPAN HOUSE venue on August 8, 2016. The ceremony's main objection was to honour journalists who have covered at least ten winter and summer Olympic Games. Around 100 journalists from around the world received awards at the event. 5 Japanese journalists were among those awarded, including Ms. Wakako Yuki of the Yomiuri Shimbun and Mr. Hiroshi Takeuchi of Kyodo News. Ms. Yuki has covered Olympic Games for more than 20 years. Mr. Takeuchi also covered the Olympic Games for many years, and now serves as Press Attaché for the Japanese Olympic Committee.
