THE TOKYO TRAVELLERS
Tokyo Traveller

Come experience state-of-the-art technology using a high-speed scan system that generates 3D modelling data. Visitors can have their image scanned or photographed from head to toe at the special booth, and their image will appear as a life-size avatar in a CG video featuring Tokyo’s sightseeing spots.

Visitors can take dynamic, vibrant photos as though they are actually experiencing the additional Tokyo 2020 Games sports as an athlete.
Additional sports: Surfing, Baseball/Softball, Karate, Skateboarding, Sport Climbing, Para taekwondo and Para badminton.

①Tokyo 2020 Games Introduction

Basic information about the Tokyo 2020 Games are introduced, including the Games schedule, the Tokyo 2020 Vision, the official emblems and the competition venues.

②Intro to Tokyo, Host City of the 2020 Games

Visualising the TMG’s “Tokyo Tokyo” concept, the attractive and diverse city of Tokyo is introduced through photos and videos along the four themes of nature, culture, food, and water. Visitors can also enjoy the “Try Photo” experience, a unique trick photography corner promoting the 2019 Rugby World Cup that will be held across Japan.

③Experience Japanese Culture by Creating Your Own Original Origami Crane

Have your favourite photo printed as an original origami paper produced only at the Tokyo 2020Japan House. Fold a paper crane and your favourite photo will appear on the wing of the crane and the Tokyo 2020 Games emblem on its back.

⑤Initiatives to Spark the Tokyo 2020 Games

The various initiatives carried out by The Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) to promote the Tokyo 2020 Games are introduced in a video. The video includes the “Tokyo 2020 Medal Project”, the “Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Flags Tour”, as well as the progress made to rebuild the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Kumamoto Earthquake.

⑦Japan National Team Athletes and Their Official Uniform

Presenting an introduction to the Japanese athletes participating in the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 (PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games), accompanied with their portrait photo. The official uniform worn by the Japanese delegation will also be displayed.

⑧Photo Print-Out Service with Original Photo Frame

Attach a specific hashtag and upload a photo on social media, and you will be able to print the photo with an original Tokyo 2020 Japan House photo frame.

Gangneung Olympic Park

Gangneung Olympic Park includes four facilities that will be used for the 2018 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games: the Gangneung Ice Arena, the Gangneung Oval, the Gangneung Hockey Centre, and the Gangneung Curling Centre. Come share the passion and excitement of the live competitions and the various entertainment events presented at the Live Site. Visitors can also experience the events played on ice at the temporarily installed ice skating rink.

It takes no more than two hours between Incheon International Airport and Gangneung (direct link without any stops) using the Korean Train Express (KTX), which has been upgraded for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games.
